Theft in addition to service problems
Over a couple of months - I repeatedly said I find the sms's that I'm subscribed to some service abusive as I never subscribed and do not wish to subscribe and should not need to watch and stop them charging me for something I didn't ask for. That's like watching a ******. Then on 25th of October, my sms's stopped - and I communicated a couple of times with the customer services, to no avail. It was supposedly escalated. I also mentioned that I could only message MTN customers and not Vodacom from outside the country , thinking wow - might solve this. Once I was told my usage was set to zero and I should change it - and I asked why and how (I didn't then ask to reset it) - seeing as I had a perfectly normal working plan with limited sms's that work fine when in country and that I can't use out of country (seeing as I only need to sms one person in SA that is not with MTN). The implications are that I am no longer receiving any of my bank notifications which has serious implications and endangers my account. Not only that - but since July the monthly set amount of R198.23 didn't just go up a couple of rand each month - but on the 30th of Nov MTN stole R1293,18 out of my bank account. I'm still out of country - I only roam sms's and calls which I'm not using. So there is no reason for the R198.23 becoming more. And I ONLY use plans with limits and top-up functions. And I most certainly did not subscribe to anything - or had to stop anything since I didn't get the date **** subscription messages - and I didn't buy a new phone.
Thank you for your post.
We are terribly sorry to have disappointed you with the lapse in service and would like to assure you that it is certainly not our intention to dissatisfy you.
Kindly advise if there was a request that you made to have your line suspended for incoming activities.
Regarding the November invoice, please note there was an upgrade done on your line on 26 October 2018 hence your November bill increased. Should it be that you never requested for this upgrade then we would like you to kindly supply us with a sworn affidavit disputing the MTN contract upgrade and a clear certified copy of your ID. Our ***** team will then investigate this matter once we have received the above mentioned documentation.
Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.
