After being an MTN customer for more then 10 years,I decided on cancelling my contract, due to network problems in the area I lived in. I cancelled my contract on 19 September 2014, and in January I received a statement saying that I owe R1000, which I could not understand, seeing as I no longer had a contract with them. I tried contacting their store in Blue Route, with no luck, and then went to the store. The lady their said that unfortunately there is no contact number, however I should contact them via email, which I did, once again, with no luck. Someone just called me now, saying that MTN has handed me over to some legal firm for failure to pay my contract, this apparently happened in February, but they're only contacting me NOW! I am extremely upset... Firstly, due to the bad service received from this SILLY call centre consultant, who could not even pronounce my surname properly. When I asked her why im only being contacted now, SEVEN months after the contract was cancelled, and TWO months after ive been handed over, she claimed not to know. MTN really is the WORST service provider, EVER! When I cancelled my contract last year, I was not made aware of having to pay anything
Best regards,
