The Upgrade Con Continues.
Over the last six or so months I have been trying tp upgrade my handset as advised by MTN as my current contract has come to an end, the problem I keep encountering is that MTN never has stock of the handsets that will keep my monthly spend around the same as what I was paying. I get sent the quarterly promotions list, I select a couple of options where I like the handset and the package stays the same and the cost per month is roughly the same as what I am currently paying. I then send my options back to MTN and of course I am advised that some of my selections have been discontinued and the others are out of stock. What is available are handsets that would double or more my costs on a monthly basis. Initially I beleived this ******* but since then I have asked for the latest quarters promotions package and went through the same routine, only to be told that of the two options I selected that they are both out of stock, some six weeks later MTN is still out of stock and yet these items are still on the promotions list. And of course anything that will increase my monthly costs is available immediately.

Please accept our apologies for the delayed response and any inconvenience this may have caused.
Also be aware that the package you are currently on is rand based and the new promos are minute based and the handsets are relative to the rand/ dollar exchange as well, which makes the handsets in your bracket expensive.
Kindly note the stores stock orders are dependent on the stock availability at the warehouse.
Please furnish us with more detail of the type of handsets in order for us to look into the matter and assist you promptly.
