The overall service from MTN has been horrible.

I have been an MTN customer for years, and over the years, i haven't been treated fairly as customer. I have an endless list of all the bad service related encounters with these people.
- I asked for my debit order to be moved to the 25th and that hasnt happened.
- I took out a contract for R299, but i pay over R400. When i called to enquire about this, the consultant didnt have the explanation. At first he said something about me having outstanding amounts or my account being in arrears, but i pay my account via debit order and have never missed a payment, so how is that possible? And then he ended up just putting me on hold till forever.
- I had my brother's phone on my account, which i told MTN i am not upgrading and that they should cancel that contract, i am still paying for it... I want my money refunded.
- I keep calling that useless 808 number and they keep cutting my call, so i cant get help to resolve my issues.
- I received an LTE sim card and followed all the instructions to get it activated, its been more than 2 months and the thing still is not activated.
Can you guys just get you act together please! Its unfair that im paying but not getting good service.

Hello Tumzalico,

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused and for the breakdown in service experienced.

We've now perused your account and ensured that your debit order date be changed to the 25th of each month. However we need to advise you that this will be effective from June 2015.

We will need for you to provide us with a copy of your contract reflecting the subscription of R299.00 signed for by yourself. Please send us a copy of the contract to *** and we will be able to correct your account accordingly.

We can confirm that your account was never in arrears, it was only the ageing of the account and the debit order date for the 31st of the month that pushed the previous month's balance before the debit order for the month was deducted. We can confirm that the account is current.

Kindly can we request that you log onto our Live Chat service in order for us to assist with the SIM swap. Please click on the link below, type in your cell-phone number, click on next and wait for the chat window to appear:
