The incompetence of MTN is incredible
After numerous letters and telephone calls we finally succeeded in moving my number to prepaid, yet yesterday MTN attempted to deduct R652.80. I had even stopped my debt order for MTN. The bank charged me R100 for the refused debt. I would like to know why you tried to debt my account. That is attempted theft and I want a refund of the the Bank fees as well as the money deducted from my account since April.
Below is an Email from MTN

Thank you for your email.

Please be advised that cell phone number 741*** has been migrated to MTN Prepaid. Please allow 2 to 24 hours for activation. Once Activation is successful, you will receive a SMS Notification.
Trust that the above is all in order.
Best regards,
Thembekile Mathopo
MTN Retentions
Reference Number: ***2

I had requested the above be done end of April as contract ended in April. Made this request in March, only took MTN four months all the while MTN deducted a monthly subscription fee. incredible
