The incompetence at MTN is beyond anything I have come across... ever!

On 03 January 2018 I received a sms from MTN telling me I was in arrears by R125.86 I spoke to numerous call centre staff and sent proof of payment (POP) direct from the bank and e-mailed them the bank statement, then took a statement to MTN at Gardens Centre and sent them the POP that I had paid R500 on 13 December 2017 and not the R305 which they insisted 'their' system showed. My phone was cut off anyway after all that and out of sheer frustration I paid another R500 on 9 January 2018 just to speed up the re-connection, which still took over 48 hours. By my calculation I am now not only paid up to the end of February, but at least R58.50 ahead of what I owe. (My actual monthly contract bill is R470.76... I usually just round it off to R500. I pay by EFT, because a few years ago they just randomly deducted R6000 via debit order, which I had a hell of a time getting back.

I have recordings of my calls to MTN as proof, I have their promises that it will be sorted out, I have messages saying it is being attended to, I even have a message saying it has been sorted out... but it is all BS.

Today, 2 February 2018, I received an sms saying that I am R96-62 in arrears and that my phone will once again be cut off. (Bear in mind that I am at least R58.50 in credit)... The sheer frustration and anger at these *****s is enough to make me bite my tongue off and make my heart burst. Do I want that to happen... not today, so I meekly pay in another R100, just to save my heart (and my tongue)...

But now I think my head is going to explode at the sheer thought that these *********** swine have achieved their objective and are going to ***** my hard earned money.

*******S!

Just hearing the name MTN makes me want to spit blood. It stands for Massive Theft Network!

I sent the POP for that payment to no less than 4 of your consultants and have now just sent it to the fifth Fezeka Mhlontlo. I will go back to Capitec and send it to the sixth person you mention above. I will also lodge a claim with the Small Claims Court for the loss of time, business and expenses I have incurred trying to resolve this matter.

Perhaps the subscriber whose R305 was mistakenly allocated to my account is the same person who was mistakenly allocated the R500 that I in fact paid in??
