Thanks for *****ing my data and lying to me MTN!

I called MTN at 8am on the 13th of December to give notice on my contract and from what I'd found online, the notice period is 20 working days before the changeover happens.

However, when I stated to the call center agent what I wanted to do, she went ahead and immediately migrated my number. I asked if my data and minutes would still be available as I'd just been topped up on the 12th, and she said I would lose everything except my data. So I asked her to put my number back on contract and that I'll call MTN closer to the time that I actually need to switch over from.

After the call, I checked my balances and while my minutes and SMSes seemed fine, my 4.1GB of data I'd received on the 12th was gone.

I called 808 again around 08:30am and another agent flat out **** and told me I'd used 4GB in less than 24 hours. She blamed background data and my device for the missing gigs. This is not possible and I have the proof. I also don't appreciate being **** to.

I called again and spoke to a supervisor, Zama who was much more helpful, escalated the call and provided me with a reference number. The number is 245 965 665.

It has been over 48 hours since the incident and I have not received a substantial response, nor my data back. I have phoned 808 and spoken to two other supervisors as well, Abigail and Jack, and neither of them could help me. I'm still waiting for Jack to call me back. Let's see if that happens....

What must I do to get this resolved?? I just want my data back.

Your customer service is shocking MTN. 14 years of loyalty means nothing it seems.
