Terrible, terrible service MTN
I was phoned by the MTN store in Mimosa Mall, Bloemfontein, during the week of 12 November 2018 to remind me that I need to upgrade. The salesperson, Andiswa Mpila, then also informed me about their Black Friday specials that I will then be able to qualify for. She did also mention that the Black Friday specials will run until the Sunday and that I can still qualify for that on the weekend days.
I did go to the store in Mimosa Mall on Saturday 24 November 2018. I was then assisted by Andiswa Mpila and did the upgrade with a Samsung Note 9. This package included 14 GB of data once off (split into plaforms for YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.). The Black Friday special however included the 14 GB each month for 12 months, as indicated in the MTN booklet that was in the store that day. I only received the 14 GB on 27 November 2018 and not again on 27 December 2018 or 27 January 2019.
I did complain about this problem on the MTN facebook page on 28 December 2018, because I couldn’t seem to get through to the MTN call center.
I was assisted by Mkateko on Facebook, but he did not give me feedback after explaining my problem.
I then sent the information to Mkateko again. I haven’t received any feedback from Mkateko since that day.
I then phoned the 808 MTN number on 16 January to ask for assistance again. I explained the problem and a case was logged.
From 16 January up until today I did not receive any feedback from MTN about the problem.
I then phoned again and was assisted by Nonhlanhla on 24 January 2019 to try and solve the problem.
I then sent her an email with all the information and a copy of the contract on 24 January 2019. After not getting any feedback I sent her another email asking for feedback on 31 January 2019.
STILL NO FEEDBACK FROM ANYONE AT MTN!
I really hope that this matter can get urgent attention and be resolved as soon as possible.
