Terrible service - no ringtone when calling someone

When making calls to other people, I do not hear the ringing tone - it’s silent — the recipient of my call hears their phone and answers. But I cannot know if the call is going through or not because it silent in my end when the number is dialled.

I called MTN service centre / call centre 135 (which is nightmare to to do owing to the endless talking and options which don’t help). Eventually getting through over two days and 32 attempts here’s what I got: 1. The service person said to call technical on 136. There is no option for technical on 136 2. Another service person said that have reset my line. Switch off for 15 minutes and switch on and it will resolve. That did not help. 3. I was asked to call 136 half a dozen times with no help further.

Can something be done or can technical resolve this serious issue.

I have checked with other friends who have MTN lines and it’s the same thing. They h e all tried to get MTN to resolve it but the complaints are falling on deaf ears.

The service is terrible !!
