Terrible service by MTN Repair Facilty in Durban

I had purchased an Apple IPhone 6s on the 05/01/2016 from MTN Store Gateway branch. On the 28/01/2017 I had updated my iPhone with the new software. As soon as software update was complete my iPhone did say that there was "No Service". I did take my mobile back to MTN Gateway were by I was advised to take my iPhone to the HVRC MTN repair facility located at Island Office park in RiverHorse Valley , Durban. I did drop of my phone on the 02/02/2017 and was promised a response via "SMS" by close of business on the 03/02/2017. I had waited till the 06/02/2017 with still no response from MTN regarding the status of my iPhone. I than went into the repair facility at 11:10am on the 06/02/2017, after quoting my job card reference I was quoted a price of R6230.00. When I had asked what the problem is I was told that they can not tell me what is wrong with the phone and I should take it to the Istore and i would need to pay that amount the replace the phone. Why should I take the phone to the Istore when I had purchased it from MTN Gateway. From the looks of it I don't even think my phone was attended to. This is a manufacturing defect on the headset and it should be replaced by the manufacturer. I will now have to take this phone to a apple verified repair center and should this phone be fixed I feel very sorry for MTN. I would strongly recommend that MTN should contact me to try and resolve this issue before I take matters further as well as to the press and social media. MTN service sucks.
