Terrible service and billing disaster

Hi. I cancelled my contract last year on 30 June.

When I cancelled my contract, I paid two amounts upfront:
- R 618.03CURRENT BALANCE OUTSTANDING for two months of fees accured.
- R 428.99UNBILLED BALANCE This was an estimate for the amount that may have accumulated in the month we were in when I cancelled my contract

Based on what was explained to me my contract was cancelled and no further amounts were to be paid. This also made sense to me as I had also paid an estimated future amount for the remaining part of the month (R428.99). In fact, the amount I actually used in that month was less than the R428.99 that I paid so I am of the understanding that MTN actually should refund me the difference.

However, MTN kept deducting money off my account using a debit order which I had cancelled. The bank reversed these for me because my understanding is that I am owed by MTN and I do not owe MTN anything.

I queried this issue with my bill a number of times. I called MTN, emailed them and tweeted them. However, after all my time spent trying to resolve this with MTN, no one could assist.

Now an attorney is contacting me and saying I owe MTN money, however, I think MTN owe me money. It would be great if someone at MTN would contact me and help me resolve this.

Hi Siphumezo
Thank you, I appreciate that. However, I have still not heard back from the relavnat department. Do you know when someone will contact me to resolve my issue?
Many thanks
Bridget
