Terrible online service

<p>I am currently overseas and have been for several months. I'm expecting a phone call from a prospective employer so I'd like to ask MTN to switch on roaming for my account.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />I logged several support requests online and every single one came back with a canned response where it is clear that the support analyst not READ my message.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />Responses such as:</p> <p> </p> <p><br />"Please visit your nearest MTN store for assistance in this matter. Thanks Goodbye"</p> <p> </p> <p><br />I'd state again. I'm overseas. I cannot visit my nearest MTN store.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />or...</p> <p>"Thank you for emailing Customer Care.</p> <p>What to remember before you go roaming<br />1. Make sure that you have contacted your service provider and activated roaming well in advance, at least 2 weeks prior to departure. 2. Alternatively, you can also activate MTN SMS Roaming by dialling *111*14#."</p> <p> </p> <p><br />Again.....I cannot dial this USSD number. I am overseas and my phone will not register on any network.</p> <p> </p> <p><br /> </p> <p><br />These copy/pasted responses are rife with every support request I have sent to MTN and shows zero competence from the support desk and is rapidly deteiorating MTN's reputation.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />Online, there is mention of a "live chat" feature, but when clicking on it, it only brings up one option "send an email to MTN"</p> <p> </p> <p><br />Can someone please help?????? This is supposed to be a simple request, or at the very least I'd expect to have an online portal where I can enable this and other MTN settings for myself.</p> <p><br /> </p> <p><br />Disappointed!</p> <p> </p>
