Terrible Experience with MTN South Africa: *********** Customer Service and Unwarranted Charges

I am utterly disappointed with the abysmal service provided by MTN South Africa. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare, filled with frustration, incompetence, and financial exploitation.

After my two-year contracts with MTN ended in October 2023, I promptly sought to cancel them due to my employer providing me with a cellphone contract as a benefit. Little did I know that this simple task would turn into an endless loop of fruitless attempts to terminate my contracts.

Despite numerous visits to MTN stores and repeated requests to cancel, I was consistently met with the same response - that I could only cancel over the phone. However, when I diligently followed their instructions and called to cancel, I was assured that my cancellation request was being processed, only to be met with eerie silence thereafter.

Months passed, and yet, MTN continued to deduct monthly payments from my account without any communication or indication of progress on my cancellation requests. Despite my relentless efforts to rectify the situation by visiting their stores multiple times, no concrete action was taken on their part.

Frustrated and fed up with their blatant disregard for customer service, I made the decision to withdraw my account in a desperate attempt to stop the hemorrhaging of my hard-earned money. However, even this drastic measure failed to deter MTN from their relentless pursuit of extracting funds from me.

To add insult to injury, MTN has now suspended my phone network, leaving me completely stranded and unable to make any calls whatsoever. This blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and basic decency is appalling and unacceptable.

In conclusion, my experience with MTN South Africa has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their incompetence, lack of accountability, and predatory billing practices have left me feeling utterly betrayed and financially exploited. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to steer clear and choose a provider that values their customers and operates with integrity.
