Taking money that I DO NOT OWE THEM

Good day

On Sunday 26 June 2016, MTN deducted R3994.00 out my acount apose the monthly R991.00.

I have set up my account and confirm it that can not exceed R1000 as that is out of my budget.

The story goes as follows, on the 30 April 2016 @ 02:00am, I was ******.

I then drove to my office that day as I had no cell phone to call MTN and inform them my phone was ****** a coupler hours earlier.

I called MTN from my work phone at 09:30 and waited for a long time to get soneone to answer the phone, IF the call didn’t just drop on it own and I had to restart. I think it was my 3rd attempt that I finally got threw to somone and at this point I stated my case.

I was advised that my sim must be blocked and phone must be blacklisted. MTN advised I follow these steps and everything will be ok. I did exactly as told.

1. Call MTB to block sim and blacklist phone.

2. Give MTN IMEI number to black list. (took another hourvon hold before I got threw to someone)

3. Went to police station to get affidavid.

4. Get Case number and an ITC number in order to apply for new phone on MTN insurance.

All was completed by 2 may 2016.

My account was then suspended a few weeks later due to the ****** taking my phone and ‘sending airtime’. NB that is something I have never done on my MTN account. I had to phone in again and again to get my account unblocked and use for business again. There was some amount outstanding of R380.00 that caused this. MTN rectified as it was proven it wasn’t me sending that airtime.

On Sunday 26 June 2016, MTN deducted R3994.00 out my acount apose the monthly R991.00 due to the ****** doing something on my account and sending airtime daily, this is how MTN telephone staff explained it to me.

I then stated but I did everything to renew my SIM, Phone and account.

I had a new sim card and all services restored since the 2 May 2016 and im getting charged R3000.00 more today – 2 months later! That makes no sesnse to me.

I then continued to phone MTN and explain I do not owe MTN R3000.00.

On Sunday, 26 June 2016 a MTN consoltant told me an investigation we be started and I will receive a sms with a REF number. (still waiting for that REF number to be sent to me, I am now sitting R3000.00 short and debut orders are bouncing and penalty charges are adding up, as I cannot pay them, because MTN has my money.)

I then continued to phone MTN and explain my case 10 times to 10 different people and some of those were ‘Supervisiors’. MTN are now questioning me if I did infact phone and block phone and sim card, as MTN have no record of me calling. I gave MTN the times I called to find my voice recording of the call to prove I phoned, I also have records at work showing I called MTN a number of times on the 30 April 2016. I also got a new SIM on the 2nd May 2016.

When I call back I ask for an update I must give them the REF number, of which they failed to send to me. A new REF was then created and I wrote it down this time. REF: ********** 75.

When I called backwith new REF the consaltant wanted to block my SIM. I advised her not to and that it has nothing to do with the actual issue of R3000.00 being deducted. Why does MTN have the facts when I constantly have to call, yell and get give all that info again.

I have been informed I must wait until Monday 4 July 2016 to receive an update. TODAY!

My debut orders are still bouncing and I doubt MTN will pay me for the penaties I will now have to pay for debut orders boucing.

Please return my money as I have told every person I spoke to at MTN I need to eat as well.

Not only did I get ****** by a ******** but also by my provider I have been loyal with for years.
