Taken Pillar to Post on Cancellation of MTN Contract

My contract ended on 30 December 2021, I proactively contacted MTN to cancel the contract on 30 November 2021, and I was told to contact them on 30 December 2021, which I did. In conclusion of the call I was told that the contract has been canceled. Afterwards, I received an sms stating that I am going to pay R99 9n an month sto month basis, meaning the contract was not canceled This morning I tried getting confirmation from MTN on whether the contract has been canceled or not. The so called "service champions" have been so unprofessional and not forth coming with correct information, and sometimeshanging up on the call. Thus far I have spoken to atleast 4 agents who were unable to assist o atleast provide guidance on the matter
