swim swap nightmare

Looks like you have a lot to do because the "Sim Swap" service that you so pronounce as seamless and easy is just the opposite of that. For the past 7 days I have been from pillar to post to sort this "easy" process. I spoke an agent(Martin) yesterday who shamelessly claimed that "He can't help me, if I fail the simple questionaire that you seek correct answers for from us". I think just as Mabo explains, having used a number for over 10 years, it is apparent that a question such as what was the last airtime purchased, last number and so forth, those can't justify the true ownership of over 10 years. Rica has all the important information which you can pull out to verify specific and critical data about the owner. I flt undermined when I explained that I can't remember most of the activities that I have done in the last 24hours and to be asked who I called last in the last 8 or so days even after giving in full Identity information.

What is t that makes it impossible to effectively verify personal details without the not so clever questions asked. For people like myself and Mabo who have had used the same number for over 10 years, what are the chances of me answering correctly to the question of whether I am registered for the loyalty program or not, if I may have done so or don't remember since it was a long time ago. Your service agents are also not helping the situation, I'm of the notion that MTN cares but from my experience in the last 8 days, I'm more convinced that crossing the floor is my only option. The only thing that is keeping me as an MTN customer is the inconvenience that comes with over 10 years of service and loyalty whereby it would literaly take me a few days if not weeks to successfully change all my data to any new number, from banking to insurance, safety and security, car trackers, employment to name just a few things that may have to change with the change of number.

Sort out your mess, let us have an option to verify our credibility without those "silly" questions, ask us the more specific details about ourselves, just as you ask when your telemarketers ask to confirm those details.
