Suspended service,poor,poor service

Again Mtn has proven that they do have the poorest service.I received an sms from Mtn on 15th July 2015 that according to them i have exceeded my R500.00 limit, again i never had a limit on my account for the last 20 years I've been with Mtn.I immediately checked the available balances on my 2x cellphone contracts and both these numbers still have available airtime, sms's and data left.Needless to say on my capped 1gig data contract i have there is no way to exceed any limits as its capped. Now for some or other stupid reason,Mtn says i might have exceeded my limit on 1 of the 3x contracts i have with them which according to me is not possible they go and suspend the service on all of these 3x contracts. As i have complained to Mtn on previous occasions my wife is on the road and need to have a cellphone for emergencies, should something happen she will be able to phone for help, now thanks to Mtn and their incompetence that is not possible.I must state that when its time for Mtn to run their monthly debit order for payment their is never a problem and my account is 100% up to date and as far as i can recall i have never made any late payments to Mtn.

Hello frikblom,

Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns with MTN.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused as a result of the breakdown in service delivery.

The limit you received an sms for is the credit limit which is set on your account according to your credit profile, and not the allocation given to each line, as this is dependent on the package. The credit limit kicks in on the 27th of every month, and this is when all your lines will be opened.

However, you can also contact the call centre on 808 and request your credit limit to be increased, so that you do not experience suspension again.

Regards
Mary
