Dear MTN

Last night I ran out of data. So I bought 2GB using my FNB app for R160. Once I made the purchase, I went to sleep only to wake up to 3KB of data. Confused, thinking it was just a dream, I bought more data this morning. 2GB for R160 via FNB app. While on the FNB app, I decided to check my recent transation to verify if my data was ****** from me or not. Indeed, it was taken from me without me using it. Having already purchased more data this morning, I decided to watch a video on social media. A video. 2 minutes into the video, the video stopped loading. I checked my data and again it was down to 3KB of data from 2GB watching 2 minutes of a video after just loading 2GB of data. That is not me. That is you! God knows how I will be compensated for this. Either give me my money back, R320 or give me 4GB of data. Up to my ears with MTN! Dont be a service provider when your service sucks.

I addition, the call center staff are polite when you speak to them however they dont care what your problem is. They are ever ready to hand you over to the next person resulting in you going back to the main menu. On top of that, when asked to enter my mobile number, the system generated voice tells me my number is invalid.

I need to speak to the Credit Controller to find out how what fees need to be paid in order to cancel my contract. I am emmigrating.

In summary, MTN:

Refund me R320 or 4GB of data and put me through to the credot controller without having to dial 808.

Thanks

Good day Taslin,
Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns and affording us the opportunity to address them. Kindly accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Kindly please note that we have checked our records and have noticed that you loaded the 1GB on 2017-02-08 01:14:00.
It appears that a lot of applications/Internet sessions were left running over night and were not completely closed and/or restricted which resulted on the data being depleted. Please restrict the background data on your settings to avoid unnoticed depletion of data.
RE: "I bought more data this morning. 2GB for R160 via FNB app"
Please be advised that our records do not indicate any data loaded on 2017-02-09.
RE: "I need to speak to the Credit Controller to find out how what fees need to be paid in order to cancel my contract. I am emigrating."
Please note that cancellations are not handled by the credit controller and they need to be done by the Retentions department. You will need to contact 808 and request Early termination fees and they will assist further.
We trust you will find the above in order.
Kind Regards,
Tshepo M
