****** phone still not blacklisted 4 days after trying to report it

I have just had INCREDIBLY bad service from MTN and I never had this before. My phone was ****** and I have been trying to have it blacklisted since SATURDAY EVENING. STILL NOT DONE. They told me the blacklisting place is unavailable till Tuesday so I called first thing. GOt a reference number, gave ALL details but still NOTHING. I need to report to police but need ITC number. What if a crime is committed with my phone? Now I need to call back SATURDAY. No manager available to provide ANY feedback. I have ALWAYS said MTN is the place I will stay with but after this ridiculousness I have no words. Its bad enough it was ****** on my birthday but now I can't even stop someone from using it after I am following the right process to have it blocked.

I need this sorted TODAY

Thank you so much Roanne for your prompt response and for explaining the reason there was an issue with the blacklisting process. I really appreciate all your help and for resolving this issue promptly. As I said in my initial posting I have never had any reason to complain about MTN and have been a loyal client since I got my first MTN contract in the 90's. Thank you for restoring my faith in the brand.
