Stock unavailability

On the 15th of November 2024 we went to MTN in East Rand Mall. (Shop 71). We were approved for an upgrade. We selected the Samsung S24 Ultra that is currently on the Black Friday promotion. We were told that they had the watch that came free in the package in stock but not the phone. The sales lady who was very friendly and helpful said that they would get stock within the next 3 working days. Today, 20th of November, I called to follow up on the progress and was told that none of the surrounding stores want to send stock to complete the order and that they sourced a phone from KZN but it will take up to 2weeks to arrive. This is unacceptable. How is it possible that there are no stock but they have a promotion and on the website it says delivery is within 1-3 working days? I am going overseas on Friday and needed the phone.
