STILL NO EMAIL REGARDING MY CELL PHONE INSURANCE CLAIM
Went to MTN Maponya Mall on 22/09/2022 to hand my cellphone in for Insurance claim as it fell and the screen is blank. I filled out all the paper work and was given reference number 410981 and left my device there. I was advised I will get communication via the email and alternative numbers I supp**** on the claim form. No update was received by myself on either of the contact details on the form. I then decided to go back to the same branch on 15/10/22 and to my shock there was no note of any form of progress whatsoever on my claim 😳The consultant then called Admyntec insurance who advised they sent an email to my work email whereas I had filled in my personal email on the claim form as I was on Maternity leave. The insurance agent went on to say they can't use the alternative number *** supp**** on the form because it doesn't belong to MTN but Telkom🙄so which to me meant I actually need to buy a phone for them to be able to communicate with me regarding my claim 😡I mean I have claimed from Telkom before and they gladly added my MTN cell number as an alternative contact number so how is it that with MTN its such a hassle??The insurance agent then advised I need to take my cell phone device back home with me and they will send me an email once the claim is processed but to date there is nothing. I resumed work yesterday and I went through my mail box looking for the email that was sent there but there is nothing😕why is it such daunting task just to claim from an insurance that I have been paying for a year now with no claim. It's already an inconvenience because the device only accepts 1 Sim even though its a dual sim but still we continue to support MTN and now their insurance company is proving to be a nightmare too 😳how does MTN think they will retain customers if taking out cellpho device with them proves to have so many disadvantages 😡Am I now expected to go back to the branch for the 3rd time due to the same claim, who is funding the transport money that I'm using over and above the insurance premium I'm paying monthly without fail?
