Still Mtn does not respond

I app**** for a contract via Mondo which is their disteibuting partner. I wanted to retain my old number which was mentioned to them, the contract was approved & the sim card was delivered. When I asked Mondo if my old number has been ported, they told me no & that I have to go to the nearest MTN store to this done. I went to the MTN store only to find out that a number has already been allocated to the delivered sim card which is not the number I requested to retain. The consulted at the MTN store informed me that it is impossible to change the number as it already has a number. The following day I phoned Mondo to tell them what I was told by the MTN consulted. This phone call lasted about 92 min (at my cost, prepaid) & I went through 4 consultants that could not resolve my issue. I then cancelled the contract with Mondo. Later in the evening I received a call from a consultant at Mondo representing MTN, I was advised that to retain my number I had to return to the store & quote my ID number with proof of ID & they will have my information on the system as Mondo & MTN uses the same system. 3 hours later, standing in front of the MTN consultant who tried her utmost best to get this contract sorted & resolved, only to find out at the end that the contract has been declined due to the fact that the incorrect contract that was supposed to be cancelled was still fully active. Then phoning Mondo in the presense of the consultant, I was given the run-around again saying that this person or that person doesn't deal with it & then they give you numbers to phone where no one is able to assist. Once again I leave the store without my issue being resolved & without a contract. It would be better for MTN to change their logo from "We Got You" to " We Don't Have You". This is the worst experience I've ever had with a company that has such large infrastructure & backup. No wonder people are not supporting them as they used to. I would like someone with authority to resolve this issue & give me feedback & my contract corrected & all my costs incurred in the last 3 days reimbursed. If no resolve, I will have to take matters further. Christian Symes ***

Once again an email from MTN customer care with directions and only to find out it is again just a run around. They cant assist or you need to speak to this one and then that one and so it goes on. MTN does not care all they care about is sending you a bill and want payment. If you dont pay they cut your line and then hand you to the collectuins department and inflate the amout out standing and if you refuse they blacklist you. What they dont think about is the way the customer for the last moth has been trying to get this issue resolved and they dont by any means try and assist. So what is left to do, do I get into a legal battle with them or just take it on the chin. I wish i had the CEO of the company contact details so i can tel him what is happening and maybe i wil have my problem resolved
