Still charged for Handset after contract expired
My 2 year cell phone contract ended in November 2014 but I'm still getting charged for the handset (Promo Service Fee)
In addition I'm also charged an additional R45 more since the date the contract expired.

I was assured that at the end of the contract it will switch over to a month to month basis and that the promotional service fee for the handset will be removed from the bill amount because the handset will have been paid off by then.

Ive sent numerous emails to MTN customer services but I still have not received any feedback from them except they they have received my email and will attend to it soon.

In March I communicated directly with the MTN in mall@reds where i initially received the phone and they assured me that the promo fee will be canceled immediately and that they will credit me back the money that was wrongfully charged on my account.

This never happened and now more than five months later im still getting charged for the handset and additional charges and still haven't been refunded.

The MTN shop at Mall@Reds is now also not responding to my emails.

MTN's appalling lack of service has convinced me the to rather upgrade through one of their competitors.
