Stay away from MTN, Rewardsco / Mondo
Never order anything online from MTN - a company called Rewardsco / Mondo will call you, take you through the entire process and let you know you're approved but then they'll tell you what you app**** for costs an additional R100. You explain what you ordered and the amount advertised and they promise to call you back to resolve this issue. When calling Rewardsco / Mondo the following week to find out about the contract status you are told that the consultant will call you back. Wait a few days, repeat the process. Tell them to cancel the deal, reapply and off you go through the same process again... This happened quite a few times. When you call them back after not receiving any information and request to speak to a manager they let you know that they will escalate the matter to a manager. Call back several times over a few weeks and ask to speak to a manager and they tell you that the managers have no phones and can only be contacted via email (for internal use only) and they will call you back... I am still waiting and I am certain I will wait forever more.
So, I decided while all this is going on to contact MTN Customer Service and let them know what is going on - you might get a response in 4 days - not the time they inform you of on the website. It's a standard response - "Thank you for your email and we apologise for any inconvenience caused" There is no resolution to it, it's all lip service.
Between MTN, Mondo / Rewardsco, I cannot decide who is worse.
Stay away from all of them, they obviously do not want to gain any customers and if this is what you experience when applying I can only imagine how awful the service is when you are a customer.
I was warned by friends and colleagues about MTN, and I have to admit that they have been right all along.
