Stay away from mtn guys

In 2022 I took out a cellphone device with mtn and was told that I have a specific time frame to hand back this device if it doesn't meet my requirements, I had this device for 1 day and made contact with mtn stating that I'm not happy with this device, mtn then arranged with dsv to come and collect the device, I gave the device to the guy from dsv and he gave me a return slip stating that he received the device from me and the proof for showing that I handed it to him the collection guy from dsv... a few months down the line I received a bill from mtn stating that I owe them 9400 for this device... I have made contact with mtn online with no success, I've been in touch with various departments within mtn from retention to legal.. What's even more frustrating is the fact that in some of the departments I've made contact told me that I owe mtn not a cent 00 I still have the emails and in some I owe them 9400 . last year December 2024 I was told I need to go to the police station make an affidavit stating my case along with a certified copy of my ID and with the proof I received from the collection guy from dsv and submit it to them( MTN) and then they will clear my name I did just that up until today (05 May 2025) this debt is still on my name and it's causing a negative affect on my credit profile... and everytime I email them they say they will get back to me... I.have all the emails and proof... GUYS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM MTN THEY ARE THE WORST... AND THE SAD PART IS THERE'S NO ASSISTANCE ZERO...
