Stay away from MTN
Whatever you do, do not use MTN. Save yourself a lot of troubles in life, DO NOT go to MTN. They are never available via the call centre because of "lockdown", but if you do call them on 136, just keep on pressing the 0 to get to a "service champion". Their app does not show you what you are buying, and once you do buy something, you find out that it is only valid for an hour. If you do get an answer, they can't help you in any case, and if you try to escalate to a manager, they are not available, and the call centre agent does is not allowed to give the manager's number. Half the time the system is off, and the other half of the time they will escalate, but you simply don't hear from them again. I've got 5 contracts and 1 pay-as-you-go with MTN, and I've been a client for 20 years, but never in all my life have I been treated in such a way. They simply deduct data, from 120Mb down to 20Mb in less than a minute, and tell me it's an app running, which is impossible, since the only app that is running is the MTN App. Then, my available spend on 3 of my accounts has changed on a daily basis, one account, spend is all of a sudden R0 from R200, another I loose ±R8 every day, but when I queried it, my response is that I need to confirm my credentials, meanwhile loosing the R8 every day, this was reported more than a week ago. And then, while I am looking at the MTN App, my available spend when from more than R150 to R36.14 in ONE minute, yes folks, ONE minute. If that is not *****ing, I don't know what is. Life has enough problems, do not use this organisation, it will add a lot of stress and unhappiness to your life. They should change their slogan #wegotyou to #wegotyou_so_that_we_can_empty_your_wallet_and_there_is_nothing_you_can_do_about_it
