Stay Away From MTN

I was 18 at the time, I was done with school. I was out of school for 2 months and then went to see if I could get a phone as I needed one. I was helped by Tammy at Galleria Mall in Amanzimtoti. She somehow got me approved on the Samsung S21 Ultra at the time. I wondered how I qualified because I had 0 credit record. Anyway she had me sign forms even a form confirming she's adding insurance etc. A week passes and I go to her to confirm i had insurance and she tells me no I need to phone them I only signed a form to basically give them permission to phone me. Why lie to my face and say I had and all was loaded etc? Anyway I phone this number daily to get the insurance loaded...they NEVER answered. I was going to go back to the store that weekend as I was working...the week before the weekend we got ****** at our place of work and obviously phones taken. To this day I received no assistance etc. I had to end up getting a second phone from Vodacom but on my mom's name because apparently I couldn't qualify for a phone how did MTN get it right??? I paid them monthly a small amount as I could but at least I was still paying. I had never heard from them EVER, now November 2025, almost 5 years later, I get a call that I was handed over to Lawyers for the arrears and they tried debiting me without my consent. I don't hear from you for 5 years and suddenly you just jump on the high horse. Not once have they emailed me, not once have they contacted me so how can they just hand me over to Lawyers.
