Spend Limit not held
I have a data spend limit of R50 but in March I got a bill of R2500!!!! How is this possible?! My data and airtime also never lasts!! MTN seems to be the most expensive provider around! How do I get such a bill if there is a spend limit?? AT home I have wifi and never use the cellular data service. This was not the first time and probably won't be the last time!! Be careful when using an open contract. Rather do prepaid or basic topup!!! The spend data limit does not work!!!

Kindly be advised that the system shows that the line ******7513 is on the 2GB Broadband open line contract without the Subscriber Usage Limit ( SUL ) loaded. A billing query has been logged requesting for the invoice dated 2016-03-13 to be validated, REQ:***.

Still waiting on billing. Nothing received yet.
This is not the first time a data limit request was not held. When I renewed this contract I requested a R1 (Minimum) limit at the MTN Greenstone Mall store. The consultant confirmed that it will be done. Since then I had to go to an MTN store regularly because the limit was not held. Request upon request. I then stopped using the SIM Card because of this nonsense. In January/February I tried the sim card again hoping the limit will still be active and working. Funny enough the device which had the sim card is a NON 4G Tablet(6 years old) with a setup 2Gig data limit.(That means that the mobile data turns off when it reaches 2Gig) This was used for youtube by a 3 year old. This whole story is funny. My IPAD has a different NETWORK sim and also 2 Gigs which seems to last a lot longer than MTN.
MTN never does a proper job when it comes to LIMITS being set! The stores and company just keeps a blind eye at what happens and the customers just keep paying. Having a Top Up on my other contract also does not matter. Airtime and Data never lasts long. Most exspensive network ever. When this contract ends it is done. I had enough.
