Sony Z3 false advertised. still waiting for repair
22 December my Z3 screen went blank after I took photos with it in the pool. As the phone advert suggests you can do. This is false advertising number 1! Number 2 I am been billed R5000 to repair the phone, which is a new contract and I see no choice but to pay to get my brand new phone back. otherwise I will pay R499 for 24 months for no phone. The phone went in on 22DEC2014 and it is now 01 FEB 2015 and I still have no phone.... Why must I sit with no phone? why must I pay R5000 to fix it, oh because the brand SONY **** in there adverts that the phone can be taken into water.

Kindly note the HVRC (Repair Centre) Department is bound by the Manufacturer's repair guidelines in accordance to their policies and mandates. The handset does not necessarily have to be splashed, soaked or immersed in liquid to be deemed liquid damaged. Excessive humidity and slight moisture can just be as damaging to the circuit tracks on the board.
Traces of liquids being detected on handsets therefore voids Warranty and renders the handset BER (Beyond Economical Repairs), due to the complexities and costs to repair.
We sincerely hope that all is in order.
