Sony Not Repaired, MTN no response?????

Sony T3 In Warranty, Not repaired I handed in my Sony T3 to Chilli Lane, Sunninghill 3 weeks ago, and was asked to fill in a condition form, for lack of a better word. My Sony no longer has the clip which closes off the Sim Card and MicroSD, simply because it is made of plastic and was off within 6 months of use. Research everywhere will show how badly manufactured this part is, including reviews. The then agent, continued to record all of this information incorrectly, citing that the screen etc was damaged, of which I alerted her to, and she proceeded to scratch it all out and put no damage. She then went on to cite that the back cover was slightly damaged, of which was not the case.

I have had a Sony now since the times of Sony Ericsson, and find this level of service appalling. I also was given a number to the MTN repairs centre ********** 349, of which then referred me to Sony, on ********** , which I called four times and to not a single pick up. This then showed even more, the lack of service delivery.

The phone started freezing after it went to sleep mode after 5 minutes, and with this, I then had to use it on the charger at all times, which eventually ended in it not switching on at all. I then handed it in, as I am still within the 2 year warranty which expires at the end of my contract in September. I am told a few weeks later that it was not repaired, and was not looked at by Sony simply because it did not have the memory card clip, which by the way, is not in any Mtn stores for purchase. I have only managed to find this in a store in the UK. The contract stipulates personal damage as a warranty void, yet this is not personal damage, as it is a clip that does not cause any form of harm to the phone. Internet research shows that this is a common problem with Sony, and as such, they should take the relevant responsibility in repairing my phone. I am now told I have to pay a R330 fine to have the DAMAGED phone returned to me!!!!

Sony and Mtn are simply trying to avoid repairing my phone by looking for the simplest excuse not to, and for this, I deem this unfair customer treatment, and will follow the necessary ombudsman channels to rectify this. I will go as far as Court and sue if I have to as I do not pay for something that simply breaks for no reason. If you cannot fix my phone, then replace it, Period!!!
