Some of the worst customer service

So It started last week thursday, my phone stopped connecting to the internet, so each day i was told a different batch of ****.
Thursday: I call 1555 and they tell me that they will reset my phone and i have to take my sim out and wait 5 min to turn back on, this does nothing, I phone again, they try again, I phone again, they tell me they will inform the engineers to run tests and will phone me back. Which they never did.

Friday: I wake up to check my phone, still nothing and no calls, I call again and they say they will tell the engineers, when asking for a reference number they say they cant provide me with one.

Saturday: I phone later, they say I must reset the phone, for the 4th time, and then call from another phone tor troubleshoot the phone,. again, they are unable to give me a reference code.

I phone back on another phone, and tell the person on the line I was told to phone to troubleshoot, they then say theres nothing they can trouble shoot and tell me they are unable to assist, when asking to escalate the issue, they say that because there are currently internet issues, which include no calls or sms's unlike my issues, and by escalating now the problem would be ignored as the engineers would see it as part of the problem they are working on. again, they are unable to give me a reference code.

I am then told to call back in an hour, which I do, and they then say that the engineers are still working and would be unable to escalate, when i point out that my issues are different to the one and in order to do so i would need to provide a reference code to the previous calls, I told him that they wouldnt provide me with codes and he said theres nothing he can do.

Sunday: I attempt again and phone in to get someone to trouble shoot my phone with me, they refuse to and instead tell me they will escalate it and reset my phone, again not able to provide a reference code.

Monday: I call in and before i can point out that i can make calls and receive sms's I get a long winded excuse about the engineers currently working on the issue and an escalation would be ignored. Again they reset my phone and tell me it should be working today, again no reference number.

Today: I phone in again and the usual, reset, no reference phone call.
I then drive into the head office branch.

I am met with 2 sections of couchs and proceed to sit at the one, i wait 10 min then i see people who arrived after me get helped, i then see a security guard direct another person to an available consultant, I then ask him to help me get help, he tells me to wait there, 20 min goes by then he points at a consultant walking past and i follow this guy, whos made no inclination to look at me, greet me or indicate that he will be helping me.

Then makes gestures to the front of his table, I then tell him all this and he takes me to a samsung guy, who enters a new APN in and says the previous ones could not possibly have ever worked even though they( both myMtn & afrihost) were working. He's still adamant that its impossible and that was the end of it.

When asking why it now works but doesnt connect to LTE anymore he told me theres nothing more he can say or do and the consultant just stands there saying and doing nothing.

I go outside to phone afrihost and they then tell me the issue that MTN and an entire 6 days with supposed 'engineers' 'working on the issue' could not and it was the authentication mode on the APN which the samsung guy never mentioned or changed, when modifying the existing APN and the afrihost one with the authentication mode, they both started working except now neither could get LTE access any more.

I've been with MTN for over 13 years. This is a ****ing joke, and this is the kind time wasting run around I would expect from Telkom who can atleast provide some internet connectivity.

I just renewed my contract with MTN and I honestly am looking for a way out of it now.

This is the second complaint I've made about MTN in the last week and nothing was done from the last one besides 'Escalating it to the engineers'.

This on top of the 6 week long run around that i had to do to get my upgrade and the erroneous instructions for transfering of account ownership.

And even now, every single day i get a notification about getting an upgrade that i just recieved and getting an LTE sim swap even though that happen when i signed up in addition to the sales consultant simphwe at nicolway saying he would order the Galaxy VR but instead when I ask about it he then tells me how to order it even though if i had never asked it would of expired by now.

This is absolute ****ing bull****.

What am i to make of this?
Not only was there a late response, I was just called to repeat what any 808 operator could say in that it's being escalated.
On 4 seperate issues I've heard this.
