Sold me a Macbook Laptop that was previously used by another customer

I got on with every intention to write a bad review about MTN, but then God reminded me that writing a bad review does not make a difference, and that if he allowed it to happen then it means in his own infinite wisdom he will somehow use this experience for good and birthed something good out of it.

To summarize my story. My mom and I decided to get my sister a Macbook laptop for her birthday which was on the 3rd July 2020. The laptop was delivered, everything seemed to go well or so I thought. But, when my sister opened it on her birthday, we found that the laptop was previously owned by another customer, it still had his credentials on so she could not use it

I therefore reported the matter to MTN, of which I was assured that it will be resolved quickly, and that a new laptop will be delivered but three weeks went by without it being delivered....

Now on the fourth week of patiently waiting, I am told that they are cancelling the contract because apparantly they looked everywhere and can't find the laptop

Oh boy...when they told me my heart sank, I mean this laptop was a gift for my sister which she was elated to have received, then to be told that it has to go back for exchange, then having to wait three weeks for a new one to be delivered, but to be told on the fourth week that it won't delivered because the contract has been canceled. Just like that, bomb shell dropped without any warning...

Truly it does hurt, I think if it was mine it wouldn't hurt this much. But, nevertheless I am choosing to drop it and let it go.....
