Sold an upgrade with incorrect information
Timeline of incredibly frustrating upgrade events: - on an MTN contract for past 6 years. Last 2 years was on a black Friday deal of R199p/m for a super deal (350 mins, 5GB data...) - sold an 'upgrade' over the phone at the end of Feb. Same price, but changed to a mega deal with more minutes and less data - specifically asked if I could still make use of DATA SHARE from our other MTN sim, since we get 60GB p/m, hence why I chose a mega package that didn't have much data. ASSURED I WOULD BE ABLE TO. - Misinformed and sold the package on incorrect information as data share is not possible on mega contracts. - numerous phonecalls later and 'escalating to supervisors'...no response. - Eventually a response and offer to cover the 'early upgrade fee'. Advised a sales consultant would call. - Sales person phoned, offering me a DATA package!! The LAST thing I want when we have 60GB data on another sim - Sales person told me my only option is pay as you go...no help/effort to offer an 'attractive' deal. I AM NOT AT FAULT! I will be paying MORE for a monthly contract that offers LESS! I don't need to be told my only option is pay as you go! - Emailed the supervisor I had spoken to re the early upgrade fee to explain...no response!! - The easiest seems to CANCEL my association with MTN as the service and assistance is unacceptable. I am so very annoyed as I was happy with my previous contract...and would have continued for many years, had I not been mislead and sold the upgrade.
