SIMSWAP DRAMA
I needed to do a simswap for my number on the 15th March 2020 and I have been taken back and forth, I do the *135# no questionnaire is sent to me, right I leave that, go to the police station send an affidavit and be told that affidavits don't work anymore for simswap that I should go to a MTN store or call....I mean we are in lockdown how can I go into a store because I knew that calling I would fail as I do not recall the whole info of the simcard as required hence the affidavit. I go on facebook chat and answer simswap answers, I fail they then tell me I should send an affidavit, I send it and to this day no response.
They call themselves MTN Champions and I am trying to figure out how are they champions when they don't even give us the same info, if Zanele Mazibuko was able to tell me that no affidavits are accepted anymore, why are the ones on Facebook still taking them. and now I am using numbers that I do not want because I can't be helped.
I WANT MY NUMBER BACK.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for the breakdown in service experienced.
Due to the national lockdown resulting in the closure of some of our stores, we've had to optimise some our processes. Namely the SIM swap process that carries a lot of weight in terms of ***** etc. Currently you do not need to obtain an SAPS affidavit and certified ID copy.
We will be able to assist you with the SIM swap, however you've not provided us with the cell-phone number in question and the new SIM number. Please provide us with the cell-phone number and the new SIM number in order to get the SIM swap done.
