due for an upgrade, I called to discuss my options and the consultant on the phone transferred me elsewhere and the line was answered by someone else, went silent and hung up on me.

The amount of money I pay for my phone contract is enough for a car installment and this is the treatment I receive! I am DEFINITELY cancelling my contract
