sim swop fail

On the 26th January 2015 I did a sim swop at MTN Empangeni to upgrade my sim as it is old and giving problems. I was told it takes 2-24 hour to be active. On the 28th it was still not active and i called the branch. They said they will get back to me but that call was never made. Everyday i called and was told they will come back to me. On the 5th February i returned to the branch and they said i have to do another sim swop as this is the instuction from mtn technical. It was done but have the same results. Since then i had phoned the branch 4 times but i it is always the same story. We will get back to u but never happens. I even phoned the 808 on the 9th and was told it would be fixed within 24 hours but still today 12-02-2015 still nothing was done or any feedback given .
