SIM swapped and then WhatsApp account ****** due to MTN's hopeless security. INSIDE JOB.

SIM Swapped and WhatsApp hacked because MTN decided to give my number to a ****mer.

1. I received no OTP to approve a SIM swap. I received no communication at all. 2. My SIM just suddenly stopped working. I thought it was a network outage, but no... got home to a million emails asking me if I really needed R3000.

3. Go to MTN store with my ID card and proof of address and they won't give me my number back without an affidavit. They would not even block the number. So the ****mer has another 24 hours to ***** me and my contacts. Did the ****mer have all this information? No they did not. Inside job MTN and thanks for making it impossible to fix.

Where is your security? SIM swaps should not be possible.
