Sim Swap woes

Good day

I've been with MTN for quite some years. Lost a phone on Thursday. Checked in at MTN City Square (Rustenburg) on Friday afternoon for a sim swap only to be told there are connectivity issues regarding their biometric system and that I should come early in the morning the next day. Went to MTN - Rustenburg Square outlet only to be told that their Upgrade/Sim swap system is down. Now today, I went to MTN City Square again as early as 9:00 which is the opening time. I believe the poor staff tried their best to assist by inter-changing scan fingers and wiping the biometrics devices but still experiencing connectivity issues. I asked them if this usually happens and they confirmed. Now what is MTN doing with such outlets that have connectivity issues? This is causing frustration for both staff and customers. Now I am being told that there is no other way to get a sim swap.
