Sim Swap & Port Mania

You would think a sim swap is the most simple thing to do right? not with MTN... I lost my phone a week back and so had to get a new one on sa****ay. I bought it at the MTN store and because I had reviously ported from MTN to Cell C, i thought it would be better to port BACK to MTN. So this lady ported the number and after succession, she asked me to accept an sms that had through the number she had ported to... HOW WAS I GOING TO DO THAT? (After I had told her that the phone with that sim card is ******?), so she stood there with no solution... I left!

I went to Cell C to try see if I can't just port back then do a sim swap to a new sim card... no can do as MTN now owns the number because it is not registered to any sim card. I called MTN Customer Care and they told me to go to the police station and do an affidavit and fax it to them... within an hour, I did that and faxed it to them. I was told to wait 24 hours for them to recieve the fax...REALLY? 24 HOURS TO RECIEVE A FAX? what 21st centuary do you guys live in that it takes so long to recieve a fax? anyway, I did... that evening I called to find out if it was recieved and they said yes but I should call the next day to request a sim swap to the number. The next morning I call to do as instructed, the lady tells me the fax has not been recieved... you joking right?... I ask her what should I do, she tells me I need to go fax again and call after another 24hours... WOW...today is Wednesday and I have been trying this since Sa****ay... mind you this is my business phone... THANK YOU MTN, you have moved to the bottom of my list when it comes to reliability!
