Sim Swap done online by *****ster.

About a week ago, my sister noticed that her MTN number was not working and she thought it was a problem with network. When she went to MTN on Saturday, she was advised that someone had done a sim swap with her number and that she needed to go to the Police station and report this, get an Incident report number and then bring certified documents to the branch for her to get her number back. Yet, the person who did the sim swap, simply did it on line with not a single document, had they asked this person the last 3 numbers dialed, the most dialed numbers, when last they loaded airtime, they would not have had this information and MTN would have seen that this is *****. I am assuming none of these questions were asked and now my sister must lose her number to *****. The MTN system is clearly a problem if people can just ***** someone's number.
