******* sim swap done on my number and mtn doin nothing to help

I'm extremely and utterly disappointed in MTN. After 20 years of using my number, a sim swap was done on my number while I was asleep from night shift on Monday the 22nd of September 2025. The person who did the sim swap then proceeded to access my WhatsApp and start requesting money from my contacts. Some fell for the **** and some didn't. I went to MTN Lephalale on the very same day(22 sept 2025) to do a sim swap and block the active number. I was told that it is done and I should have access to my number in 24 hours. 24 hours later(23 sept 2025) I still had no access to my phone number. I then went into MTN Lephalale to follow up on my case, only to be told that the sim swap was not done but now they are really doing it and I should have my number on the 24th sept 2025. On the 24th I checked again and still had no access to it. I'm beyond frustrated and stressed because of this ordeal. People who sent these people money think that it was me and expect me to pay them back. They are still using my number and MTN is doing nothing to help me after over 20 years of being a loyal customer. I will be taking my services elsewhere, where my security is better guarded.
