Sim swap done ********** and mtn failing to assist

On the 14-11-2017, one family members alerted me that someone is requesting money from my family members using my number mentioned above the I suddenly realized that I have no network on my number I called mtm 173 immediately, that is when I was told that a sim swap was preformed them the so called service champion advised that I go to the police station to report this **** as its a crime when i got to the police station police told me they can't assist me reason they have no full information from mtn at least if I had a print out, I called mtm 173 to request info required by the police they told me to go to nearest mtn outlet there they told me the mame of person who did sim swap and print out of all numbers the perpetrator is calling and I recognise since they are my family members.when I went to the police station they told me information is still not valid I tired of the run around can mtn assist as my finances are at risk as follows 1. What is the way forward regarding the matter? 2. How can mtn allow sim swap to be done on self service? 3.when one does sim swap you don't get contact numbers back but this perpetrator has my contacts meaning he is working with someone from mtn 4. The perpetrator is busy swearing to some family member and friends.

I need closure on this ASAP.
