SIM STILL INACTIVE, NUMBER NOT ACTIVATED AFTER PORT
Good day
I was contacted by Jeanel from the MTN Sales department ( ********** 667) whom assisted me in obtaining a new contract including an S9.
The phone was delivered on Wednesday 18 April 2018. After not being contacted by the Friday, emailing the Customer Care Email (6 times, NO RESPONSE) and trying the call centre number provided online (doesn't work via Vodacom or Landline) numerous times, I got through to the sales department.
I was transferred to Janine and not Jeanel, whom indicated that they were going to assist me with my porting (from Vodacom to MTN). Janine's Supervisor also assist, confirming that she would call me back by 15:30 on Friday 20 April latest - STILL AWAITING HER CALL.
On Saturday 21 April I called the Customer Support number from a friends' phone was assisted by an extremely capable gentleman whom provided the Porting Departments' number, indicating that no request was sent through by Janine, Jeanel or their Supervisor.
Monday 23 April Jeanel called me, informing me that the incorrect Sales Agent was informed of the delivery and that she will be sending through the deactivation and porting requests after our conversation, as she activated an unknown MTN number (that still hasn't been provided to me). I asked to be CC'd in the email, still awaiting that email.
Friday 27 April and Saturday 28 April I followed-up once again as no calls were received by Jeanel.
Monday 30 April I followed-up once again as it was the last day of my Vodacom contract whereby the Porting Department confirmed that they were still awaiting the porting request from Jeanel and YES NO CALL BACK FROM A SUPERVISOR AS YET.
Friday 4 May Jeanel called back after I once agained followed-up with the Porting Department whom hadn't received the request. Jeanel indicated that the request has been sent through and that the port would that place on Friday 4 May or Monday 7 May at 19:00.
Tuesday 6 May I called the Porting Department as the number was still not ported and thus I couldn't make use of my new phone, nor contact family of work colleagues. The Porting Department indicated that Jeanel didn't provide all the required information ans that the request hadn't been processed.
I was transferred to the Activation Department and transferred to a Supervisor to assist. She indicated that the port would take place on Tuesday 8 May between 19:00 - 19:30. I asked for email confirmation, she took my email address and I am yet awaiting her email.
To my disbelieve the port was successful last night, with my Vodacom pre-paid number being deactivated.
THE ISSUE IS THAT BOTH MY VODACOM AND MTN SIM CARDS HAVEN'T BEEN ACTIVATED. What does the port help if my sim hasn't been activated. It is astonishing and EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING that after 3 weeks I hadn't been contacted by a Supervisor and still am not able to use my phone.
PLEASE CALL ME - Shawn Ras
