Sim Card off for a month yet forced to pay R 2700

MTN over billing

I have a top up contract sim card which has been taken out off my phone and switched off since the 13th of November 2015. There are multiple contracts all on my name. I have received a call where MTN tells me the sim cvard was on and used today yet I have it kept away in my cupboard.
If i do not pay 2700 rand the other lines get suspended as well

This is not the first time mtn has messed up billing

that is the reason why I took the other sim card out and moved to vodacom because mtn sucks and if i dont pay the money today the other lines get suspended too

I doubt it will get sorted out because it has never been sorted before

so thanks MTN for making me pay for something that has not been used in more than a month

Hello nealk435,

Thank you for your post.

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it has caused.

Kindly be advised that the invoice dated 2015-11-26 runs from the 2015-10-27 to the 2015-11-26, the sim card was last used on the 2015-11-14 which is within the cycle. The system shows that you incurred extra charges from purchasing data bundles using the USSD self help service.

Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Regards,
Ayanda
