Sim cancellation

Kindly assist me with cancelling my Mtn number ***. I called on last week Thursday to cancel it and they gave me a cancellation fee that I needed to pay before it can be processed, so I have already paid the payment (Pmt***) but when I call 135 they failing to assist me I don’t know if I should involve service ombudsman
