Signal so bad phone cant be used.
Well this has been a long process, after being loyal to MTN since 1997 it is a huge disappointment that is comes to this.
I live in an area where signal has never been great, but was mostly usable. Over the last few months signal has become so poor i cant effectively use my phone at home. Most incoming calls dont even ring. they go straight to voicemail, outgoing calls rarely connect, they get cut off and the phone states call failure. MOst calls that do ring through or dial out end up failing within the first two minutes.
I have tried taking this up with the Innovation division of MTN, their hands seem tied and the cant provide an effective solution within 5 months.
My only solution is to cancel the contract and open a contract with another service provider that has great signal in the area.
Last week I called the call center to ask for a cancellation, they said they would get the cancellation department to call me back, which never happened. On Tuesday 13 Oct i called again. they promised to call back within 2 to 48 hours- still no call.
They state i will have to pay cancellation fees, i wont beside my HW fees due to the reason for cancellation.
Please call me to resolve this :(
