Should I prepare to be de*****ed by MTN?
On 6 October (2015) my contract with MTN should have ended. Since I think that they are deplorable business, I decided to cancel my contract on that date, go pre-paid and subsequently port to another provider.<br> So, unprepared for MTN's lackadaisicalism., I wrote & faxed MTN about my intentions, but that went unanswered. <br> I then called the call center and was told that I should only notify them a month before the end of my contract.<br> Did that with another email & fax at the beginning of September - no response.<br> Another call to the call center brought to light that I should phone on the day that the contract expired, being 6 October.<br> So, on 6 October another call - I was in error once more, and should have phoned one day after the contract expired.<br> Called on 7 October, and began holding my breath for some kind of response. Nothing.<br> Now I'm worried: on the 12th all the packages are loaded, and one gets billed. So on the 11th I spoke to a \manager"who informed me that they could cancel my account and"

Kindly be advised that your number has been cancelled and migrated to prepaid. A credit of R292.33 has been passed for the invoice dated 2015-10-11 to close off the account.
