Should have left when i had the chance

Last year i wrote a review on MTN entitled " Goodbye MTN" and now a couple of months later i am sorry that i stayed. January this year my daughter situation changed and did not need so much data. (i am the owner of the contract but she uses phone). So she and my wife went to Canal Walk and enquired about options. Unfortunately they could not transact on the account as i am the owner. So 2 weeks later my daughter and i walked into Blue Route Mall MTN and complete the downgrade application and i am told my new bill would be R99.00. I left the the store with the knowledge that come first of March my account would be reduced. What followed was incompetence beyond measure. Every month i would have to go into the store to get them to unblock the account as it was suspended for non payment. i refused to pay the i had signed piece of paper advising that my contract was downgraded. MTN also put my daughter at risk by cutting her phone line constantly. At one stage i was told the new bill would be R159 per month. in July I eventually threatened to have a sit in the store if they did not sort. Eventually the manager of the store intervened and gave some half baked excuse as to why it was not done. She did manage to sort the downgrade portion out but i still don't know what i am getting for my premium. She actually tried to sell me a R229 a month package. She then went to make calls at the back of store while i waited. I am self employed so this costs me money all the time coming to the store as the line is cut mid month. MTN then offered to write off one month subscription. Sh e advised that she could not write off the whole amount and that i had to contact the regional manager. Dont think this person exists. The staff actually suggested that i pay first and my argument was if you cant sought a simple downgrade how you going to process a refund. So i was not happy with the one month write and i wrote to customer service via email but the person on the other end was unhelpful and eventually closed the ticket without giving me a valid reason for not writing off all the arrears. i then called the regional manager but she is obviously too busy to return my call or i was given a dud number . Since Monday I have been trying to get hold of your company to speak to someone. Today i spent an hour an on hold to speak with someone as MTN AGAIN suspended the line for non payment. The reduced payment is still not loaded on the system. So today i went and paid the full amount outstanding as i could no longer put my daughters life at risk for MTN incompetence. In fact i was going to let it slide but the closing of my ticket and the sending me a sms your matter is resolved is like showing me the proverbial middle finger. So i believe once again that MTN failed to take responsibility and for their inability to sort out a simple manner and they should have written off all the premiums as compensation for all my trips to the store. -
