SHODDY CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MTN
I had a contract with mtn which was due to stop on the 20th August 2020. On the 30th June I phd Mtn's call center and spoke to a Jodi Naidoo. The reason I phoned was to find out more about how Mtn's contract - cancellation worked. I reiterated several times to Jodi Naidoo that I DID NOT WANT TO CANCELmy contract but that I just wanted to find out more about Mtn's contract-cancellation policy. She informed me that she understood and that my contract would not be cancelled. Approximately 30 minutes after our phone call I received an sms from MTN that my contract will be cancelled. I immediately phoned back but couldn't get hold of Jodi Naidoo. I spoke to Palesa Kubeka who promised me that she will cancel the cancelation instruction done by Jodi Naidoo. She did not do this. I then sent 3 emails (one to Jodi Naidoo, one each to the managers on duty on that day) None of the emails went through. As a result of the wrongful cancellation of my contract, I was charged a cancelation fee of R285.00 which was taken off my bank account at the end of August 2020. I have since been trying, in vain, to get MTN to refund my money. As a last resort I went to the Tygervalley store and spoke to store manager Mrs Suzette Germishuys who, initially was quite confident that my problem would be resolved speedily. Well, suffice to say that like all Mtn's staff which I had dealt with trying to get my refund, Mrs Germishuys turned out to be a huge disappointment. I cannot believe that she just stopped answering my watsapp messages after a months of dithering and making excuses. As a manager she was an absolute nightmare and totally ***********. I have given up because it seems that Mtn's staff does not give a hoot about customer service. If you get this kind of shabby treatment from a manager then there's something VERY WRONG. Can anyone help please?
