Shocking Service from MTN *****

My phone has been **********ly upgraded last Saturday, I reported it immediately to MTN Store at Sandton City, I was made to go and get affidavit and SAPS only certified copy of my ID, which I did and submitted all documents to MTN next day (Sunday) morning. I was told this could easily be resolved in 48hrs. I have literally been following up on this everyday, there's no feedback from call center and everytime I have to explain the same thing to a different person which is ridiculous.

I tried to get hold of MTN SA through their Twitter handle, to this day no one has ever acknowledged or rep**** my tweets, which is pathetic. I don't understant how any random in the first place knew that my phone was due for an upgrade because the morning I was notified that my contract was upgraded, that is when I actually went it to get a Samsung S8 as they didn't have it last month. Now due to this *****uent upgrade I can't upgrade my own phone.

Quite frankly the service is shocking and no one seems to give a hoot about what's going on here and I keep on talking to people who are clueless on the call centre. Once this sorted I am not re-newing my contract with MTN!!

Hi there,
Being on the other end of the stick if rather unfortunate, I'm in the professional services and I understand exactly what customer care is about, and one of the most important factors around that is for any service provider to deal with my angst as a customer.
***** was commited at your store, through one of your employees by someone I don't know, the least of my worries should be to follow up re progress report. There's always turn-around times in every process, it hardly takes the full term as set out, to get a response from you telling me about 21 days is rather disheartening.
For some of us the engagement with MTN is more than the phone contract, it's more about how I'm treated as a customer and whether my expectations are managed, and sure you can tell me if my expectations are outrageous.
